Problem-based learning is often discussed in the context of STEM courses, but English Language Arts can be a powerful vehicle for implementing inter-disciplinary problem-based instruction. Virtual Communities of Practice provide educators the opportunity for sustained, focused learning with a community of professionals from across the state. The virtual meetings are facilitated by other Kansas educators through the Zoom meeting platform. The in-person kick-off meeting will provide time for participants to learn how to use the Zoom tool in advance of the virtual meetings.
